My name is Rain and I've been a geek for about as long as I can remember. ^_^ I'm a big fan of anime and manga, as well as amazing television (such as Doctor Who, West Wing, ST:TNG and South Park) and the great movie classics (Star Wars!!!).
I became active in fandom, going to conventions and trying to sound cool on the internet as early as 1996. In 2000, I started to cosplay...and it all went down hill from there. I'm a cosplay photographer and I do all of the promo shots for Moony Couture Designs. When I cosplay, I generally cosplay as male characters, but you might get lucky and see me in my Belle ballgown. I do sew my own costumes and I'm a back-up seamstress for Moony Couture when things get a bit bogged down.
I started making dolls in 2001 and have been making them on and off ever since. I've recently been focusing more on them and have been selling custom orders via our etsy store. I make most of my dolls by hand. It can take longer to finish, but I find it much more satisfying than always using the machine. Most of the first dolls that I made were ragdolls, but I'm trying out new things and trying to make my own patterns now.
On a more personal note, I've been married to my wonderful wife since 2003. While nothing was legal, we created our own ceremony and said our vows for our friends and family. It was even a bit of a costume wedding. We had everyone dressed as "fairies" including my groomsmen. XD In April of 2013, my wife and I tied the knot properly in Massachusetts. We have the best wedding photos.
